Stillness……

Years ago, a friend lend me his copy of “Notes to Myself”by Hugh Prather and although I didn’t remember the actual words from the book, but the experience of reading this book stayed with me. Today, I remembered it again…and I wanted to post this quote from his book on my blog..so that these words stay with me…

“A still mind sees what is here. A busy mind sees what is not here. The one who is present is nothing more or less than the one who is present. Therefore, look at the person who is here. We can cover that person with whatever thoughts we wish, but that won’t get us a different individual.” – Hugh Prather in Notes to Myself

Restfulness, stillness are fast becoming rare in our lives…i am grateful for those moments in which i get to experience and immerse myself in those rare experiences…Thank you God for sending such gifts my way…
